Have you ever wondered how weeping flowering cherries were produced on a straight trunk or how to make two different color flowers appear on one tree? How are those "fruit cocktail trees " made featuring different fruit on the same tree or how to clone your favorite trees without having to root them? Grafting is a technique of tree propagation and formation that has been around for more than 2 millennia. Rob Hamilton will discuss grafting history and various uses, tools and techniques. Leave this class with the basic knowledge you need to graft your own trees. $15 Garden members, $20 non-members.
