A little background information on the project: For the last 6 months or so, I’ve been documenting via photography, a multitude of different African American fathers and their children.
Event Details
Capturing the raw emotion and joy that we as black fathers experience when talking about our child(ren). The idea for this project is centered around changing the narrative of how those who look like me are portrayed in the media and in he world.
With the amount of negativity placed on black males and especially when it comes to fatherhood, I thought I would use my camera to put together a collection of positive images and stories to showcase.
