Description

Who's ripe, ready for plucking, and the biggest pit of them all? Southern Fried Queer Pride's annual Peach Pit Pageant is back and looking to crown the pit whose has it all!

Event Details

Competitors will compete in 3 categories:


1.) Presentation: each competitor will create a outfit/look based on the theme of ANIMALS. Theme is open to interpretation.


2.) Talent: each competitor will perform before judges and audience. Performance is open-ended for competitors.


3.) Question & Answer: each competitor will answer a question drawn from a bowl.





Winner receives crown, trophy, a $200 cash prize, title, and will go on to create a regular event series with SFQP.


2nd place/runner up will receive a trophy and a $100 cash prize.


3rd place will receive a trophy a $50 cash prize.





This pageant is voted on by audience members and judges.

The 2019 Peach Pit Pageant happens Thursday, June 27th at The Bakery Atlanta. Doors open at 9PM. Competition begins at 10PM. This event is all ages. Suggested door cover is $7-$20.

Southern Fried Queer Pride is a queer and trans, arts & advocacy organization and festival based in Atlanta, GA. Built on the backbones of the Stonewall Riots, MondoHomo, queer liberation, and the radical celebration of Southern queers, SFQP offers a platform for community artists, activists, and anyone and everyone to hold space!





SFQP is a community organized and funded event. All SFQP events have a suggested $7 to $20 sliding scale door cover, however, no one will be turned away due to lack of funds. All funds raised help keep SFQP going.





The Bakery Atlanta is located at 825 Warner Street SW Atlanta, GA 30310. It is near both West End and Oakland City MARTA Stations, and close to both I75 & I20. The venue has a ADA accessible ramp entrance, restrooms, and general layout. We aim to be as accessible as possible.
