Family Food Fest Atlanta

Adults $25 in advance, $30 day of the event; Children $15 in advance, $20 day of the event
In its 17th year, this multicultural Father’s Day event includes a competition for best dishes, tastings, a cooking demo, bbq competition, the Colgate Bright Smiles Dental Van providing free dental checkups for kids 12 and under a health pavilion, Kids Zone and more.  All proceeds benefit nonprofits Atlanta Culinary Charities and Communities in Schools of Georgia. Recording Artist Bishop William Murphy III Pastor of dReam Center Church and The Boykins Girls will perform. Honorary Chairmen include Bishop Murphy, Congressman John Lewis, Dr. John C. Lipman,  Delta Community Credit Union's Reina Short, Felix Turner of Kroger, Michael Anderson of Georgia Power, Atlanta City Councilmen Andre Dickens, Michael Bond, Matt Westmoreland, Andrea Boone,  Marci Overstreet, Joyce Sheperd, Natalyn Archibong and City Council President Felicia Moore;  Dekalb County Commissioners Larry Johnson and Lorraine Cochran-Johnson; Henry County Commissioner Bruce Holmes and East Point City Councilman Joshua Butler.  FamilyFoodFestAtlanta.com for details.
