4th Annual Urban BioBlitz
Event Details
Please join our 4th Annual BioBlitz, we are very excited that we are able to host the event in our own urban backyard! West Atlanta Watershed Alliance (WAWA) is inviting all of our partners, naturalists, scientists, professors, and any other individuals who may be interested identifing living things; including but not limited to: fungi, trees, herbaceous plants, arthropods, birds, reptiles, amphibians, and mammals that are found at our 26-acre forest. We are expecting a fun day of biological inventory!
The BioBlitz will take place at the Outdoor Activity Center,a part of the Atlanta Children's Forest Network, 1442 Richland Rd SW, Atlanta, 30310 on September 25, 2019.
This event is for students of all AGES!!!!!
For those who are not familiar with a BioBlitz, it is a period of biological surveying with the intentions of identifying all of the species in a designated area. A BioBlitz is an opportunity for individuals to become more aware of the natural world in their community.
