Broadway Brunch - "That Day"
Event Details
They'd been friends since forever. After one phone call, all of that changed. How do they go on from there?
Admission is FREE and open to all, but please be sure to RSVP here, helping us to plan best. You may also make a financial donation to help support the arts at Grace, which you may give online by visiting our Facebook page - designate "Broadway Brunch." (facebook.com/graceonponce/), or bring your donations with you on the 15th.
Broadway Brunch is Grace's version of dinner theatre, a creative approach of connecting community around food, cause, and the arts.
We feature some of Atlanta's most talented artists - directors, actors, and playwrights as well, along with some of Broadway's classic dramas, comedies, and musicals. It's also a great way to taste how some of Atlanta's best restaurants do brunch - along with direct connections to some of Atlanta's best nonprofits doing good work around the themes we explore.
Annnd if you'd like to hang out with us a little more, following each Broadway Brunch we'll chat a bit about our thoughts of these themes, with September's wise voice: Sarah Collins, counselor and facilitator of women's therapeutic and mental health groups.
August 30th is National Grief Awareness Day, which we honor with September's edition of Broadway Brunch, along with understanding the dynamics of women's friendships and friendship circles, especially when they are affected by loss of some kind. We look forward again to creating safer space to experience and enjoy good stories with good messages, good music, good food, and good work - just a great way to do Sunday mornings - Broadway Brunch at Grace, every 3rd Sunday.
"That Day," written + directed by candi dugas; featuring Tiffany Morgan, Naima Carter Russell* + Kate Guyton. Stage management by Karen Scott Burson.
*Actor's Equity Association. Sponsored by: Scarlett Loves Rhettro Antiques, West End Print Shop + UMC Global Ministries.
