Rachel's Law The Movie - Atlanta, Georgia Screening

Event Details

The film is about the life and death of FSU graduate Rachel Hoffman and the law that was passed to honor her memory. Rachel’s Law is the first law in the country to put legal protections on how law enforcement uses confidential informants. Florida is leading the country on this bi-partisan issue by signing into law Rachel’s Law in 2009, one year after Rachel Hoffman's murder. Rachel’s mother, Margie Weiss, and the Florida music community are rallying to raise awareness and strengthen Rachel’s Law. Rachel’s Law is the only law in the country the puts minimum standards on law enforcement’s use of confidential informants.

Join us on September 21st for an exclusive screening of Rachel's Law the Movie before it goes into the festival market. Rachel's Law is a documentary about Rachel Hoffman, a 23 year-old college graduate of Florida State University who tragically lost her life due to the corrupt practice and use of confidential informants.

The Screening will be on Saturday, September 21st from 8:00 p.m. -10:00 p.m. in Atlanta Georgia at Maggie's Neighborhood Bar and Grill. Tickets are $15 and student tickets are $5. All proceeds go to the continuation of the Rachel Law. Our agenda is to strengthen the law through awareness, education, and law reform.
