The Georgia Latino Film Festival (#GALFF2019) is a four-day event dedicated to bringing awareness of films and content made by latino/as or international to a worldwide audience. Held annually in the Hollywood of the South during Hispanic Heritage Month, the GALFF is committed to the belief that Latino actors, directors and industry professionals deserve the same opportunities as other film professionals.
In addition to film screenings, each year the GALFF presents over 10 exciting workshops and networking events designed to educate, motivate, develop careers and enthuse the festival goers. The festival traditionally opens with a Welcome Awards Reception and Movie premiere, followed by independent film screenings, master classes, panels, celebrity conversations, entertainment and talent discovery programs. In 2019, the GALFF will expand its program to showcase more new media, (i.e. you tubers, gamers) as well as, television-related content. 2019 brings a new focus on entertainment technology and initiatives to grow the number of Latina filmmakers.
