Spend an afternoon indulging your eyes and ears. We begin the afternoon with an organ concert at First Presbyterian Church played by Director of Worship and the Arts and Organist, Jens Korndörfer.

The musical pieces chosen are inspired by European Masterworks: The Phillips Collection.
Throughout the concert, Claudia Einecke, Frances B. Bunzl Family Curator of European Art, will draw out connections between the music and the works on display in the High's galleries. Immediately following the talk, see the exhibition itself on the second floor of the High.

Dr. Claudia Einecke
Claudia Einecke is the High Museum’s Frances B. Bunzl Family Curator of European Art. She studied art history in her native Germany and in the United States, receiving a Master’s degree from Johannes Gutenberg-Universität, Mainz, and a Doctorate from the University of Missouri, Columbia.
Before coming to the High, Dr.Einecke held curatorial positions at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Joslyn Art Museum in Omaha, Nebraska, and the University Art Museum in Columbia, Missouri. In collaboration with the University Library in Heidelberg, Germany, and the Library of the Staatliche Museen in Berlin, she also directed the digitization of early twentieth-century German and Austrian art auction catalogues for the Provenance Index™ at the Getty Research Institute.
Dr. Einecke’s primary field of research and scholarship is European art in the Long Nineteenth Century, and she has curated a variety of exhibitions in that field. She has also contributed to exhibition and collections catalogues, and served on committees for various professional organizations and initiatives.
Dr. Jens Korndörfer
Dr. Jens Korndörfer is Director of Worship and the Arts, and Organist at First Presbyterian Church of Atlanta, GA, and instructor for organ at Georgia State University and Agnes Scott College.
He maintains a busy concert schedule at major venues and festivals around the world. Dr. Korndörfer has performed with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, the Sapporo Symphony Orchestra, the Filarmonica Arturo Toscanini, and the Hofer Symphonike
