Distillery of Modern Art Hosts Burlesque Basics

Critically celebrated and award-winning teachers from The Atlanta School of Burlesque will start by walking burlesque beginners through the history of the sensual dance style. Welcoming all skill levels, Zara Estelle will teach fundamental Burlesque movements and walks, resulting in a short routine. Dance enthusiasts who have built up an appetite learning new skills can indulge in a savory charcuterie from The Spotted Trotter and sip on the latest summer cocktails from Distillery of Modern Art. Attendees must wear appropriate shoes such as dance shoes or strapped-toe shoes with a 2-to-3-inch heel, jazz flats, salsa shoes or barefoot. Attendees are encouraged to bring water. Tickets are $15.
