Brunch is a time-honored tradition throughout the South. That certainly holds true in Atlanta where each of the city's neighborhoods boast their own favorite soul food breakfast eateries and more modern brunch concepts.

Local Three

Buckhead has a host of excellent brunch spots, but Local Three stands as one of the best. They have a Mother's Day brunch buffet that is $39.95 for adults, $19.93 for children ages six to 12, and free for children under the age of six.

Canoe Restaurant  

Those looking for an upscale brunch experience flock to this locale located in the northwestern corner of the Perimeter. Canoe has received a host of awards, including most recently being named the Best Brunch in Georgia by Southern Living Magazine in 2017. 

This farm-to-table restaurant serves new American cuisine delicacies. In addition to the tremendous food, Canoe's patio seating and location on the banks of the Chattahoochee River is a big plus, making it perfect for Mother's Day brunch.

South City Kitchen  

South City Kitchen has four locations in the Greater Atlanta area, including popular spots in Midtown and Buckhead. They have been featured on Food Network, The Huffington Post, and Thrillist

South City Kitchen serves a Southern contemporary cuisine that includes brunch staples like shrimp and geechie boy grits, smoked brisket benedict, and cheddar biscuits and gravy. They also have a brunch cocktail menu headlined by drinks Mom will also enjoy like The Peach Next Door, Country Thyme Lemonade, and Purple Rain, Purple Rain.

Ecco

Ecco also has Midtown and Buckhead locations, and they mix up the menu with their modern European dishes. Diners can dig in on main course entrees like asparagus quiche, grilled mahi aquapazza, and braised duck benedict. 

Wood-fired pizzas, pastas, and brunch specialties are some of the other items that can be round on the menu, so you can't go wrong with going to Ecco for Mother's Day brunch. A favorite among Ecco regulars is their various combination platters of cured meats and cheeses.

Murphy's  

Murphy's is Virginia-Highlands entry to the list of the best Mother's Day brunch restaurants in Atlanta, and it has been in operation for over 35 years. They have award-winning chefs in the kitchen and specialize in upscale comfort food, so Mom will definitely appreciate this tried-and-true local favorite.

Murphy's offers brunch favorites including different egg dishes, toasts, and sandwiches. Some of the menu favorites include crab cake benedict and shrimp and cheddar grits.

Whether your mom is a fan of down-home foods or fine dining, Atlanta has plenty of restaurants that are perfect for Mother's Day brunch.
