34th Annual Heroes Saints & Legends Gala

The Foundation of Wesley Woods will host the 34th annual Heroes, Saints & Legends Gala on September 21, 2023, 5:30 pm at Flourish by Legendary Events, 3143 Maple Drive, Atlanta, 30305. This long-standing event and award ceremony draws over 300 guests annually to honor and pay tribute to notable Georgians who have transformed Atlanta's community through a lifetime of achievement and commitment to leadership, service, and philanthropy.

The 2023 honorees are:
• J. Veronica Biggins, Managing Partner of Diversified Search Group's Atlanta office and former Assistant to the President of the United States and Director of Presidential Personnel under William Jefferson Clinton.
• Governor Nathan Deal, the 82nd governor of Georgia from 2011 – 2019.
• The late Sandra Dunagan Deal, First Lady of Georgia from 2011 – 2019.

Since the event's inception in 1990, 112 of Atlanta's most exemplary leaders have been recognized. Through this honor, more than $7.8 million has been raised for charitable care, pastoral care, and wellness programming at Wesley Woods. Over 1,800 older adults live throughout Wesley Woods in 10 residential communities across North Georgia.

The evening includes an elegant reception, dinner, and music, followed by an inspiring awards ceremony with videos, lively remarks, and conversation with each honoree. WSB's Candace Pressley will serve as emcee.
